A new e-book from Project Gutenberg, from 1903, Practical Carriage and Wagon Painting by Mayton Clarence Hillick. Has some interesting images of the fine work of lines, scrolls and other artwork (including lettering, especially for commercial vehicles). It still takes a fine, steady hand and artist eye to use similar techniques on automobiles.
