Welcome to the

arole Hale, of Dream On Farms is a popular artist in our hobby and has been an active member for many years. She began her collection as a child, not with the usual Family Arabian Stallion in day-glo palomino, but instead with a Proud Arabian Mare in glossy bay. It wasn't until many years later, after her daughter began collecting and showing models of her own, that she discovered that there was an active group of model horse hobbiests. One day her daughter showed her an issue of Just About Horses and that was enough to hook Carole. She was so impressed how realistic customized model could be that she wanted to try one herself.

With a background of painting and drawing on flat surfaces, Carole found three-dimensional artwork an intriguing idea. She found a cheap "body" to paint, and once she started, she was completely hooked! Painting led to repositioning, then partial resculpting and now complete sculpting.

Carole is especially fond of performance showing, and has made a very big impact in the hobby with her elaborate settings and wonderful attention to detail. A talented craftsperson, Carole and her daughter make most of the obstacles, props, and scenes used in each performance display. Her excellence in the live show performance arena has garnered her many, many championships around the country!

When not working on models or performance props, Carole enjoys sending and recieving email, and keeping up her own model horse web site. She works full-time job as a marketing manager during the day. Although she used to own several horses and once lived in a rural area, Carole now lives in a suburban area, and sadly no longer owns any. She does, however, jump at the chance to go to (real) horse shows whenever she can.
