Boehm Studios
This company is based in Trenton, New Jersey and creates exceptionally high-quality, hand-made porcelain figurines of all kinds, including a number of horses and equines. Boehm (pronounced, "beam") porcelains are easily the most expensive figurines I've ever come across, and are marketed towards museum collections or to those where money is no object. (A flower arrangement in a 1991 catalog went for the "mere" sum of $125,000!!!)
Photo Credit: Polo Player on Pinto, photo provided by Elizabeth Bouras taken at Harrods; the text on a card next to the piece said, "Boehm: This is to certify that the model 'Polo Player on Pinto' is a Limited Edition of 100 pieces. This is #27."
